Mutation Analysis and Restriction Site Mapping of GDF9 in Indonesian Bligon Goat

Bligon goat is one of the crossbred goats raised in Indonesia, which has a prolific nature, potentially increasing economic benefits. The gene that particularly influences traits Growth Differentiation Factor 9 (GDF9). This study aims to identify mutation analysis (SNPs and amino acid changes) restriction enzymes map GDF9 goats. Thus, shows synonymous Exon 1 (Leucine Leucine) seven non exon 2 with varied alteration (Valine Alanine, Glutamine Proline, Lysine Arginine, Histidine, Arginine Lysine, Serine Asparagine, respectively). Two g.1956A>C g.3855A>C show homozygote CC heterozygote AC. most sample those two 67% 83% type, respectively. Recognitions site BsaI BsmAI or g.667C>M (Exon I). SNP g.2566C>M was recognized three (MspI, HapII, HpaII). not enzyme, other have more than 12 fragmented sequences, as consequence, it very difficult analyze genotype.
